The Business Tax Board of Review reviews taxpayers appeals on assessments under the business license tax laws.

Members must take the Oath of Office and submit Conflict of Interest Filings (Form 700) at the time of assuming office, annually by April 1, and within 30 days of separation from this body.

Composition. A business tax board of review consisting of the City Administrator, the City Auditor, an employee of the City selected by the City Administrator, and two community members nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the Council. The City Administrator and the City Auditor may each deputize in writing filed with the Board for such period or for such hearings as may be desired, a person to serve as his/her designee to the Board.

City Auditor is appointed to the Business Tax Board of Review to serve their term of office as City Auditor.

City Auditor appointee is appointed to the Business Tax Board of Review to serve during the tenure of City Auditor as a Mayoral appointment, filling the seat designated for the City Auditor for such period or for such hearings as may be desired by the City Auditor as her designee to the Board.

City Administrator, is appointed to the Business Tax Board of Review to serve during their tenure as the City Administrator.

City Administrator appointee, is appointed to the Business Tax Board of Review to serve during the tenure of City Administrator as a Mayoral appointment, filling the seat designated for the City Administrator for such period or for such hearings as may be desired by the City Administrator as his designee to the Board.

Two Community Member Appointees, are appointed to the Business Tax Board of Review to serve a four year term, filling the seat designated for a community member selected by the Mayor.
