Street Closures Planned on Sunday, March 25, for Oakland Marathon’s New 2018 Course

The City of Oakland today announced the temporary street closures and parking restrictions in effect for the Oakland Marathon which takes place on Sunday, March 25, 2018

The City of Oakland today announced the temporary street closures

and parking restrictions in effect for the Oakland Marathon which takes place on
Sunday, March 25, 2018. The 26.2-mile marathon, which starts at 7 a.m., takes a new
course through town from the starting point at Eastshore Park on the corner of
MacArthur Boulevard and Lakeshore Avenue. The course will take runners through
downtown, West Oakland and Northgate. The new course also takes runners around
Lake Merritt, past the Port of Oakland’s terminals and on a portion of the Bay Bridge
Trail.
