Homicide Investigation in the 9700 block of Edes Avenue

On September 25th, 2020 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Oakland Police Officers responded to the 9700 block of Edes Avenue. on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a male adult Oakland resident suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
