Homicide Investigation in the 9900 block of MacArthur Boulevard

On October 18th, 2020, at approximately 12:58 AM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 9900 block of MacArthur Boulevard to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located a female adult (a San Francisco resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Oakland Fire Department personnel were also dispatched to the scene. Medical attention was provided to the victim but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
