Homicide Investigation in the 1200 block of 52nd Avenue

The Oakland Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on July 10th, 2021, just before 10:30 PM, in the 1200 block of 52nd Avenue. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a shooting victim. Once on scene, officers located an adult male.

Officers provided medical treatment until medical personnel arrived on the scene. Oakland Fire Department personnel additionally responded to the scene and provided medical treatment. Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene.

Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to take over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
