On January 20, 20201, at approximately 7:35 AM, the Oakland Police Department’s Communications Division was advised of a shooting victim in the area of 85th Avenue and Railroad Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Oakland Fire Department personnel and Falck ambulance crew were additionally on the scene and provided medical treatment. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent homicide.
