Public Ethics Commission Releases 2021 Annual Report

Annual Report summarizes the Public Ethics Commission's 2021 activities and accomplishments.

In 2021, the Commission issued record fines for ethics violations by individuals; devised new training programs to address department-specific gaps; collaborated with department leaders to tackle systemic issues exposed by PEC investigations; and conducted a Citywide review of public records system performance resulting in a formal report as well as the development of an ongoing performance monitoring tool to highlight where the need for improvement is most urgent.
