The Capital Contracts Division (CCD) provides contract services for two departments: the Public Works Department (OPW) and the Department of Transportation (OakDOT). Our contracts are only for capital improvement projects, which are projects that improve the infrastructure of City property. These projects are approved by the City Council during the two year budget cycle.
OakDOT's Parking & Mobility Division is implementing two separate car share pilot programs: the Free-Floating Car Share Pilot and the Dedicated Space Car Share Pilot. Electric mopeds are eligible vehicles under this program.
The Carmen Flores Recreation Center is located in the heart of Oakland’s Fruitvale district. Diverse recreational programs are offered at low cost for tiny tots, youth, teens, adults and seniors. The center and park feature an industrial sized kitchen, multipurpose room, fully equipped computer lab and an artificial multipurpose field. Current renovations to the park include full basketball court, new entry way, a track, lighting, and landscaping which was completed in Fall 2011. We have a team of bilingual staff and a friendly atmosphere. Our programs are designed to expose our community to new activities that help participants find their passion in life. The Central East Oakland Discovery Center is a community-based program that offers neighborhood youth a fun way to explore their world through science.It provides youth with the materials, resources, and coaching that allows them the creative space to discover their own skills and enables them to pursue their own interests. It encourages youth to see learning as something they pursue for their own benefit.The program is located at Brookdale Recreation Center.
The City of Oakland adopted the Central Estuary Area Plan (CEAP) and related environmental document, to guide future development in the Central Estuary Area which encompasses 19th Ave. to 54th Ave and I-880 to the Estuary.

Located in North Oakland, Golden Gate Recreation Center is close to Pixar Studios, Powell Street shopping center, Bay Street shopping center, and adjacent to the Golden Gate Community Garden. The center is fully equipped with a basketball court, baseball field, picnic sites, and patio area.
