ART – Awareness, Resilience, and Tools training is a two-hour workshop designed to prepare all City Disaster Service Workers [DSW] and Disaster Service Working Volunteers [DSW-V] to interact with and assist people who are affected by an emergency event or a disaster.

Awareness, Resilience, and Tools [ART] Training Objectives

After completing ART training, course graduates will:

  • Be able to interact with and assist people who are affected by an emergency event or a disaster
  • Have a better understanding of the following concepts:
    • Resilience
    • Dignity
    • Awareness of Self and Others
    • Cultural Sensitivity
  • Be provided with tools and strategies for practicing self-care

Oakland ART Training is available to the community, free of charge.
