Coming Soon! | Emergency Respite Center Operations Training [ERC]

Emergency Respite Center Operations is a two-hour workshop designed to prepare all City Disaster Service Workers [DSW] and Disaster Service Working Volunteers [DSW-V] to who may be asked to work in an Emergency Respite Center during an emergency or disaster. This training will provide City staff to have a better understanding of how to support Emergency Respite Centers effectively.

After completing this training, course graduates will:

  • Provide City staff, partners, and community members with a better understanding of different types of Emergency Respite Centers (ERC)
  • City staff, partners, and community members will be able to identify how an ERC is structured and operates​
  • City staff, partners, and community members will be able to explain the activities and tasks that take place in ERCs
  • City staff, partners, and community members will understand the types of work they will perform and how  to do it​​
