David works as policy advisor for the regional Bay Area Air District focusing on local health equity land-use planning, environmental justice policy, and community engagement around designing and implementing green infrastructure. David has also worked as a strategic planner and urban economic analyst for the City of Oakland’s Redevelopment Agency helping to realize key bicycle/pedestrian projects such as Fruitvale Alive, the Laurel to Mills access project, and the San Leandro/Lisjan Creek Greenway. David enjoys working with local community and neighborhood groups as part of a larger goal to build out an accessible grassroots-led inter-connected citywide “green network” that reflects the culture and diversity of Oakland. David is an avid bicyclist and hiker when he is not at the Lake or relaxing at home with his family in District 2.
