Homicide Investigation in the 1500 block of 35th Avenue

On September 11th, 2020, at approximately 11:44 PM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of 35th Avenue to investigate the report of a disturbance. Upon their arrival, officers located an unresponsive male adult (Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent stab wound. Medical services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. The victim was taken to surgery where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
