Adopt a Pet

As the City’s only open admission shelter, we take in every animal who comes through our doors. Adopting from OAS not only helps one lucky animal, it also makes space for the next animal who needs our help.

Available Animals

To adopt: come into the shelter during our adoption hours. Except for those in foster care off-site, all our adoptable animals can be viewed during adoption hours (no appointment needed):

  • Thursdays 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Fridays 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Saturdays 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Sundays 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

You may print and fill out an adoption application OR come to the shelter to fill out an application. Adoptions will be done on a first come, first served basis. Please view available animals and then visit the shelter to turn in your application.
