The City of Oakland Fire Department will continue to provide plan review services across all categories of project for approval consistent with the City’s Fire Code.

You can submit your Plan Review application through our email at FPBReceptionist@oaklandca.gov. Every plan review submittal must have an FPB Intake Form.

Note: if plans are submitted without meeting the Electronic guidelines, your plans will be considered incomplete and will be delayed or denied. Please see the Electronic Submission Guidelines.

For consultation with a Fire Protection Engineer, please fill out the FPB Intake Form 2022 and select either 30 or 60 minute Microsoft TEAMS meeting and submit to FPBReceptionist@oaklandca.gov.

The average turnaround time for New Fire Alarm or Fire Sprinkler plan is 6 to 8 weeks, re-submittal plan review average timeline is 5 to 7 weeks.

EBMUD

This review is required by EBMUD for all new services to ensure that your project meets fire safety requirements. Click here to view EBMUD Application. EBMUD applications must be submitted before submitting Fire Sprinkler plans.
