Neighborhood Business Assistance Appointments

Whether you’re starting a new business, expanding an existing business or facing challenges with your current business model, City staff are here to assist. And we’re coming to neighborhoods throughout Oakland to make it more convenient for entrepreneurs and business owners. We've added a seventh location as an additional option in deep East Oakland.

Where We’ll Be

Business support staff from the Economic & Workforce Development Department will be available for 30-minute appointments at the following six locations:

  • West Oakland Library (every other Monday from 10am-1pm)
  • 81st Avenue Library (every other Tuesday from 5-8pm)
  • Dalziel Building in Downtown (every other Wednesday from 9am-Noon)
  • César E. Chávez Library (every other Wednesday from 5-8pm)
  • Golden Gate Library (every other Thursday from 10am-1pm)
  • Eastmont Library (every other Friday from Noon-3pm)

Make an Appointment

  1. Visit the scheduling page
  2. Click on the location where you would like to meet us
  3. Click on the bolded dates for available times
  4. Complete the booking form – be sure to provide a text-enabled cell phone if you’d like reminder texts

Appointments must be made 48 hours in advance.

Kindly cancel your appointment if you’re not able to make it to allow another Oakland business owner to access the time slot.
