Boat Rentals at Lake Merritt

*NEW HOURS* The Lake Boating Center will now be open for Boat Rentals Thursday - Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

About

Boating programs are offered at Lake Merritt and the Oakland Estuary. Youth and community programs provide an entry point to gain skills to explore the wonders of Bay Area boating. Join the Green revolution—learn sailing and muscle-powered boating!

For pedalboat, canoe, rowboat, and kayak rentals, no certification is required. To sail on Lake Merritt, you will need to provide sailing certifications, pass a sailing test, or take a class with us.

Boat Rentals require a CASH ONLY deposit of $20-$30 plus the first hour's cash rental fee.
